A couple of posts ago I mentioned doing a little series on styling jeans. Then I got sidetracked. And we went on vacation (where I was going to try and get outfit photos, but alas, it didn’t really happen). I’ll try and post some vacation outfits though. I learned how to pack sparingly — only two pairs of shoes!! — since baby and I were sharing a suitcase and much of that space was diapers.
So I’m back home snapping photos in my sewing room, and I remembered the jeans thing. I was hoping to show a couple of great bootcut options, but only got to one. Baby isn’t much of a napper these days. One is better than none though, and I figure you guys are probably sick of my obsession with skinnies.
Spring has finally arrived in our neck of the woods and the melting-snow-turning-our-mountain-yard-into-a-mud-puddle is starting to dry up, which means that I can shelve the skinnies and boots to a certain extent and start breaking out some wee little heels and open toe shoes. Hooray!
My sweater and earrings are DIY projects. The knit blazer I got at Kohl’s. I don’t remember where I got my jeans, and my shoes are brand newbies found on ebay for a fraction of their retail price. (I should have taken a photo with my pant leg pulled up because they have a great ankle strap detail).
I love the playful nature of the owl sweater balanced out by the more business-like blazer and heels. Outfits like these are great for moms juggling many different hats, from playground to office to home.
